The YMCA of Hagerstown Youth Sports programs are designed to give your children a safe learning environment, where the focus of the Programs is on Physical, Social, and Mental development. A few of our programs are competitive programs, but most are based upon learning the fundamentals of the Sport while learning the four core values of the YMCA of Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility. YMCA Youth Sports have modified rules to maximize fun and increase sportsmanship and Fair Play.
Volunteer Coaches Needed
Volunteer Coaches are essential for YMCA Youth Sports to be successful. Help kids reach their full potential by volunteering to coach youth sports at the Y! Athletic experience is not required—just the ability to model the values of honesty,
caring, respect and responsibility while making sure everyone gets a chance to play and have fun!

Parent Information
Basketball
Children ages 6 years-High School. Great learning experience for kids of all ages. Learn basic skills of basketball, teamwork, and make new friends. Offered throughout the year.
Registration ends August 11th for Fall Basketball.
Soccer
Children ages 4-16 years old Youth soccer is fun, easy to learn and accessible to all kids. The Y offers a league for all ages and skill levels, providing a healthy, fun environment to enjoy the physical benefits and camaraderie of this exciting game. Offered throughout the year.
Registration ends August 11th for Fall Soccer.
Volleyball
A true team sport, volleyball helps everyone learn important lessons about collaboration and communication on and off the court. Our volleyball programs serve up plenty of fun for those in 3rd grade through High School with all skill levels. Kids learn the basics of passing, setting, hitting, serving and blocking in a positive, supportive environment! Offered throughout the year in Spring, Summer, and Fall.
Registration ends August 11th for Fall Volleyball.
Fustal
Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided, soccer game. It is a scaled down version of outdoor soccer played indoors. This game is played on a hard surfaced, basketball sized court with a smaller, low bounce ball.
Gymnastics/Tumbling
Y gymnastics/tumbling programs offer kids and teens the opportunity to develop their agility, balance and strength while engaging in fun, physical activity. Children ages 4 & up.
Flag Football
At the Y, every kid can find their field through flag football. It’s time to get outside and enjoy the fresh air with physical activity!
Dance
Children ages 2 – 10. Dance is not just a sport, but an art. Dance is beneficial for physical health, improves social skills and increases creativity. Dance helps with rhythm, balance, coordination, and helps with self–confidence. Our goal is for your child to want to come back to learn and have fun.
